Alba left the field due to injury, Inter Miami beat Toronto FC 4-0

Alba left the field due to injury, Inter Miami beat Toronto FC 4-0: On Wednesday, September 20, Inter Miami defeated visiting Toronto FC 4-0, but it may have been expensive as Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba left the game with suspected injuries.

Benjamin Cremaschi and Facundo Farias both scored goals, while Robert Taylor registered a brace as the Herons edged closer to the Eastern Conference playoff line. On the other hand, Miami’s top players’ health was the main concern.

Messi departed the pitch two minutes after Alba was replaced in the 35th minute. While neither athlete seemed to have had a visible injury, they were both experiencing pain related to lower body illnesses.

Messi and Alba did not participate in Saturday’s Miami game because of “muscle fatigue,” according to head coach Gerardo Martino.

The team was attempting to balance the two players’ availability and fitness given the hectic schedule of the Herons, which includes the U.S. Open Cup final on Wednesday.

With Messi in the starting lineup, Miami is 11-0-1 in all competitions, including 3-0-1 in regular-season games.

In the first 26 minutes, injuries claimed the lives of Brandon Servania and Victor Vazquez for Toronto FC.

Due to all of the early stoppages, the first half saw nine minutes of extra time. Three minutes into the extra time, Farias scored his third goal of the year.

As Messi’s replacement, Taylor entered the game and went on to have one of his finest half-lives in his two MLS seasons.

Taylor showed great ball control in the 54th minute, seeing an opening to strike from the outside of the area. Taylor’s second goal came in the 87th minute after Farias set up a chip pass for Taylor to finish a shot from a difficult angle.

In the 73rd minute, Taylor received an assist for passing to Cremaschi in between his two goals. It was the 18-year-old Cremaschi’s second season-long total.

Drake Callender of Miami had his sixth shutout of the year with two saves. Callender had assistance from his goalposts when Lorenzo Insigne and Deandre Kerr of Toronto FC both found the net.

This season, Toronto is the only MLS club without a victory on the road.
